Business intelligence and productivity solutions provider Circyl, has appointed Andy Mclean as its new Head of Data & Analytics, as the business grows to meet rising demand.

Mclean brings to the role, more than 18 years’ experience of helping customers make use of the wide range of data sources at their disposal, to drive informed decision-making.

He joins Circyl from Ricoh, where he built a reputation for delivering Business Intelligence, Data Warehousing and Power BI solutions that provided timely and accurate insights to key stakeholders, whilst improving efficiency through the automation of reporting processes.

Mclean commented:

The opportunity to join a business like Circyl was not one I could turn down. The offering reflects the changing priorities of many organisations and it’s a great time to be working with data.

It’s not just a good time to working with data, but technology in general and especially Power BI, with an increasing number of organisations beginning to appreciate the power of their data and the potential benefits it can bring to their business.

It is not just awareness of what’s possible now that is helping the market grow, but the fact that some of the most effective data solutions are now far more affordable and cost-effective.

This makes available to much smaller businesses powerful tools that were previously the preserve of only large enterprises with big budgets. I’m looking forward to helping Circyl grow by delivering technology solutions that add value to businesses of all sizes.

Jason Betteridge, Managing Director at Circyl, added:

Andy is a very good strategic appointment that demonstrates the calibre of individual we are able to recruit.

As Circyl’s new solution architect, helping clients understand their business challenges and identifying effective solutions shaped by their unique requirements. He is great all-rounder, but has specific experience in the membership services, healthcare, banking and manufacturing sectors.

Our ability to help clients integrate data from all the disparate systems in which they currently store it, is greatly enhanced with Andy’s expertise. It makes the Circyl offer even more compelling.

I expect him to be very busy as we attract new clients and given his experience within the data business, Andy will be a perfect fit as we look to deliver services in a more accessible way, drawing on the expertise of somebody who has proven record of delivering consistently high-quality results.

This latest appointment demonstrates our confidence in a growing market and ensures we are delivering what customers want, even though some just don’t know it yet.
